Design Academy for Learning & Intervention - DALI

We mentor, train & intervene

DALI design Academy is a design and problem solving educational platform for everyone. Apart from educating students aspiring to be designers, DALI is also involved in creating awareness on design education in the public consciousness. We are a group of architects, designers and art practitioners from eminent design and art institutes in India. We as a group believe in looking at design through a critical and research lens.

Our Programs

DALI emphasises theory and practice equally. We believe the students need to operate at a conceptual level. This helps them understand the underpinnings of a phenomenon. We prefer the word “mentorship” over “teaching” as individual sensibilities of each student is assessed and improved.

Besides our regular schedule, we also frequently host visiting teachers and speakers.

  • Subhashini

    SUSTAINABLE ARCHITECT & EDUCATOR

    Subhashini is an architect with 15 years of experience in residential and commercial design. Specialized in sustainable practices with a Master's in Architectural Science from USYD and Project Management certification from NICMAR, she is passionate about creating innovative, functional, and eco-conscious spaces.

    ARCHITECT & CREATIVE EDUCATOR

    Keerthika is an architect and an inspiring and innovative creative educator with a passion for empowering students to unlock their full potential through education and creativity. With 2 years of experience as a creative educator for students who are passionate to become a future designer.

  • Purushu Arie

    FASHION DESIGNER & WRITER

    Founded India's 1st exclusively ungendered fashion label. In 2011, Hindustan Times rated Purushu's blog as the most influential blog in New Delhi. Ever since, Purushu has worked with more than 75 retail and luxury brands as a fashion designer & blogger.

    ARCHITECT & EDUCATOR

    Vanitha is an accomplished design professional with a degree in architecture. With three years of experience as an assistant faculty, she currently educates aspiring designers at DALI Design Academy, inspiring creativity and shaping talent. Her keen eye for aesthetics and dedication to education makes her a valuable asset in the design field.

    Prithiv Kumar is a seasoned UX Designer with over 6 years of experience in the field. He is passionate about creating user-centred experiences that make a difference in people's lives. He is also proficient in a wide range of design tools and frameworks.

    ARCHITECT & VISUAL DESIGNER

    Keerthana is an architect and visual content designer currently employed at Brakes India Private Limited. With over five years of extensive experience, she has successfully managed numerous creative design projects, showcasing her expertise in architecture, interior design, concept creation, graphic design, and visual conceptualization. Her ability to combine artistic flair with practicality and functionality sets her apart as a true professional in the field of architecture and visual content design.

    COMMUNICATION DESIGNER

    Siva Sai Jeevanantham is a 27-year-old communication designer based in Chennai, India. He is a graduate of Photography Design from National Institute of Design (NID), India. He was also a student of English journalism from Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Jammu and Kashmir.

    VISUAL ARTIST

    Augestina completed her bachelor's degree in fine arts from Stella Maris College Chennai and is currently pursuing her master's degree in Art history. She employs a diverse range of mediums through challenging perceptions in her works. As a practising artist and a passionate art educator, her profound connection to the creative process sparked a desire to share the joy of self expression, fostering artistic growth with others .
