About Us
Design Academy for Learning and Intervention - DALI. We are a group of architects, designers and art practitioners from eminent design and art institutes in India. We as a group believe in looking at design through a critical and research lens.
To build a community that will foster design thinking as a problem solving capacity among the public and thus enabling design intervention is our aim. We believe that design thinking can help us resolve problems ranging from product design, graphic design and also systemic design such as societal issues.

To make DALI design academy a leading design and problem solving educational platform for everyone.
DALI is founded on the principles to create a conducive space for students, design aspirants, and artists to critically engage with a design practice that is also socially and ethically conscientious.

Apart from educating students aspiring to be designers, DALI is also involved in creating awareness on design education in the public consciousness. We conduct workshops and intensive summer courses for students on art and design. We also conduct regular talks on art & design that help spread the perception that design can be looked beyond its immediate functional and aesthetic value also as a problem solving possibility.

A skilled designer backed by a design and artistic sensibility is a great asset. Our pedagogy at DALI emphasizes theory and practice equally. We believe the students need to operate at a conceptual level. This helps them understand the underpinnings of a phenomenon. We believe this to be an essential quality of a designer. We also aim to create a design community that will perpetuate such a tendency among designers. We prefer the word “mentorship” over “teaching” as individual sensibilities of each student is assessed and improved.
